What is an interim manager procurement?

Interim procurement managers are external strategic sourcing and procurement experts on a temporary basis. They support companies in various sectors for a specific project period in the area of procurement and offer various services for procurement optimization.

With the help of strategic procurement analyses, you can find out where you can save material costs in your company. I work out detailed results and optimization proposals for your team based on the analysis, which contribute to cost reduction in the long term. When applying cost reduction, I proceed in four steps:
  • 1. Initial interview or workshop

    In an initial meeting, online or in person, I get to know your company. Together we discuss your needs, clarify general project questions and look at what is needed for optimized procurement.

  • 2. Analysis

    After a quick, detailed analysis, it is identified where cost savings can be made. Suppliers, contracts and the procurement market are examined more closely.

  • 3. Realization

    The analysed cost savings are implemented in the short term through strategic procurement levers such as renegotiations and tenders and integrated into the procurement processes.

  • 4. Quality assurance and sustainability

    Optimized processes, coaching and know-how transfer ensure that the savings remain in the company in the long term. It is checked whether these are also optimally stored in ordering systems so that the result is also improved in the long term.
